Homeless
Most of the other 'ally' information can almost directly apply to Homeless people (or really any oppressed people). I would like to point out some common myths, and try to correct them here:
- There are different levels of homelessness, People living in cars, people couch surfing, people tenting it up, etc.
- Some people literally live on the streets, others live outside of communities all together.
- Some people might choose to live without a home.
- Not all of them are mentally insane/troubled/etc. Not all of them are alcoholics, or have other substance abuse problems.
- Not all of them are old. Every age range is susceptible.
- It shouldn't be a crime, but it is in most places.
- Homeless people are still PEOPLE.
